NOTES:
2010-11-04 - mathieu-tl - porting nm-applet to appindicator will take some time. There's already planned work in NM upstream to simplify the API in prevision for Gnome-shell work which is going to happen early next year. There's also two features that will make things *much* easier, that is: grids in menus, and a signal for when an indicator is clicked so I can reuse the same setup nm-applet already has to build menus when needed (required for wifi network lists and such). Both these features are planned for this cycle according to my discussion with Ted at UDS-N.
