more frameworks for ubuntu/gnome

it might be great to have e.g. one "productivity" framework for gnome (tasks, dates, zeitgeist, notes, ...) and a "communications"framework. As ubuntu now tries (with lucid) is to make a somehow unified frontend for different applications for different services, what about coherent frameworks for those applications? this might make adaption with cloud services easier, as you have one unique way to get to the data.
