Simplifying the website instructions
Registered by

The current instructions for new contributors are too complicated and lengthy. We need to develop better methods to make it easier for contributors to get involved in the project, and we need to have an in-depth look at the current wording to see how we can make sure it doesn't intimidate new users.

Work items:
[1] Look at the current instructions on the website, and identify sections that can be automated.
[2] Develop automation of those steps, through scripts, PPAs or applications.
[3] Simplify the wording on the website.
[4] Compare the original website instructions to the new ones, and see if they're less intimidating.
