Integrate Qt Creator + Ubuntu development tools into the Software Center

Registered by Kenny Strawn

Here's a scenario for you: You click a giant "+" icon with the words "New App" on the top bar of the Software Center (in the same view as "All Software", "Installed", "History", and "Progress" buttons/views), and it launches a prepackaged Qt Creator with all of the development framework already there (putting the Qt Creator on the Live DVD would also be of help). From there, Qt Creator is pointed to save files not in a local location but in a sandboxed "extras.ubuntu.com/~<Launchpad ID>" source repository. And when the developer is ready to publish the app, mapping a "Tools -> External -> Publish" menu to dh_make (which should also be prepackaged on the live DVD) would be of especially good value (although in Qt Creator, there would also need to be a wizard similar to that for a new Android app in Eclipse defining the directory structure needed to create a valid .deb package).

It's not as far-fetched as some people think... and it's exactly what I'm proposing. With, of course, mockups of the Software Center "New App" button and Qt Creator Publish menu.
