Browse projects by “categories” or “tags”

As far as I can tell, the only way to find projects is to use Search (assuming you know a project's name) or Browse All Projects.
It would be incredibly useful if there were some categories or tags with which to browse projects. A useful example in the wild is SourceForge's “Topics”, which can be seen on the left here:

In practically all other ways, I prefer LaunchPad to SourceForge. But Launchpad's projects aren't nearly as accessible as they might be if my only choices are Search or Browse All… Kinda hinders the ‘open’ in ‘open source’. :P
