Bug Description
Hi,
As discussed at UDS we would like to be able to rely on vcs-imports
being up to date. To aid this an API call to request and update would
be great. Even better would be if we could have a way to take an
action when it was done.

Adding the api should be easy enough. Doing something when it is finished is virtually impossible without polling.
